Notebook paper fabric tutorial

I've made a lot of stuff with this method and it's really fun to do. Also it's a lot easier then it looks.

I've made a Kindle Cover

 An Ipad Cover

and Zipper Pouches

There are so many cool things to do with this and I would love to see more.

Start with a rectangle of white material (about the size of a piece of paper, or whichever size you want)
Set your sewing machine needle clear to the left position and use blue thread.
Sew one straight line on the top of the fabric, horizontally, just like a piece of paper.
for the next line put it just under of the first line, lining up the first line with the right of your sewing machine foot to keep it all lined up in straight lines. Repeat all the way down the fabric.
Now you have something that should look like this...
Next change your thread to red and do one line down the side about 1 1/2 inches from the edge, completely perpendicular to the blue lines
Aaaand it's finished!!!!
I always embroider on it. It's fun to make it look like doodles on a real piece of paper, but you can add buttons or embelishments or whatever you want. Have fun!

I would love to see more finished projects with this meathod. If you make anything with it pleeeease send me a pic! That would make my day :) brennahorse@gmail.com

Panniers

Thinking about making some panniers. They look somewhat simple to make. My cousin got one for her Birthday and I've found a few really cute ones on the internet.

Now to find some oilcloth in this town... this should be interesting

I will have my next tutorial up tomorrow sometime! Get excited!

First Finished crochet project

Really super easy project. Kinda lame, but I'm proud of it cause it took me so long to actually make something :P

Back to the real world

Got back from New Zealand and had a blast! Now it's back to bills and jobs... But I am so happy that I had this opportunity to go! Thanks to Chases Grandma :) Here's a few of my favorite pics.

I highly recommend going to Queenstown. It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen! Plus they have lots of places there where they filmed Lord of the Rings, if you are a fan like me :) It was a so much fun! except that I had the flu for a few days so that was kind of a bummer and International flights are not fun, especially if you don't like flying in the first place and its as far as NZ.

Funny story...We flew from LA to Sydney before flying to NZ and at the LAX I ran in to my friend from Colorado. We knew we were going to Australia around the same time, but when I saw her there we found out that we were on the same flight and her seat was right behind us! It was so crazy!
Well It's back to life, which means after I get back to the routine of things I'l be blogging again and hopefully it will be alot more then before I left! I'll get a toutorial up soon and I finally learned to crochet, so I might have more crochet stuff up...? If you know of anything cool and easy to start with let me know, cause I am a very new beginner. Have a wonderful weekend!

1. First of all, aren't theses bunny hooks amazing! They are from Urban Outfitters and I just happen to have gift cards there...hmmm?
 2.  This nursery is so sweet :) I love nursery's. This is the only room that I know how I'm going to decorate it when we have kids. They are so fun!
3.  I love these butterflies. Normally I hate anything to do with butterflies, but this is just too cool to pass up. They look pretty fun to make too!

 4. This chair is incredible! I need a chair to recover soon
 5. These look so fun to make... and so pretty!
 6. Don't you wish you had a back yard this cool as a kid?

Today is "get my butt busy day" I've been so stinkin' lazy this weekend. Now it's time to get stuff done. I have less then a week to pack everything for both Chase and I for New Zealand and I haven't even started laundry yet or gone shopping...
I decided to finally practice crocheting next week. Since I have 20 hrs traveling there and 20 hrs back and I'm sure the airport security would attack me if I attempted to bring my embroidery stuff. So I guess I need to start my own yarn collection.
I love this bicycle! Hopefully I don't get that addicted to yarn though... :)

Also since I'm so in love with home decor I will be starting a weekly "Decor Day" Post. I don't know what day I will be doing it or how long it will last. But I'm excited!

Have a wonderful week!
