Elorias

This is kinda late...but one of my best gals Jen got featured in Etsy's "Etsy Finds" a while ago! I am so proud of her! Check it out HERE under "Symbols of Love & Good Fortune." Congrats Jen!

Natural Cleaning Remedies

Yesterday I spent almost half the day cleaning the house, which gave me the chance to use all this new Norwex stuff from my moms party. And let me tell you... I am officially in love with their products! The best part about it is that the house didn't smell one bit like nasty cleaning chemicals when I was done. :)

Here's a few non-chemical cleaning tips that I've picked up:

Clean the bathtubs and sinks with baking soda (use it just like you would comet)
(You can also unplug drains by pouring baking soda down them followed by vinegar).

Use Norwex cleaning clothes and polishing clothes for windows. All you need is water and it's much faster, less harmful, and works so much better then Windex.

I also use the Norwex cleaning cloth to wipe down kitchen cabinets, door handles, and anything else that might have germs on them. They have silver in them which works as an antibacterial. And is SOO much better then using bleach or ammonia(which in my opinion does more harm then just leaving it in the first place, ha).

(My mother-in-law gave me this tip, which works wonderfully!) For getting those icky stains out of the arm pits of your white shirts (which it actually caused by deodorant, not your sweat... but gross either way) make a paste using baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. I just use a little scrub brush and scrub it in for a couple minutes and then let it set for 15 minutes before throwing it in the washer. I promise, it actually works!

If you've heard of ANY other natural cleaning remedies, please let me know. I would LOVE to hear about some more!

Day Off

I'm off tomorrow so I think I'll embroider.
It's been far too long and it sounds really amazing right now.

Today I practiced driving standard so that I can use my husbands car to drive myself to work instead of relying on everyone else to take me. And I didn't kill it this time, not even once! I sold my car on Valentines Day because there were some major things going wrong with it and we've been wanting to sell our cars for a while now to get a car that will travel well. Now Chase and I are thinking about moving to Dallas, TX... So if that happens, I have a feeling we will be doing a LOT of traveling back and forth. I'm excited to move (even if it's for a short time) for the experiance, but I have never, ever been to Dallas. If anyone lives there or has visited there please tell me how it is! I am very nervous moving to a place I've never been :/ I've heard some cool things about it, but I just don't know. And it makes me even more nervous since I've lived in the same place my entire life!
Hopefully I will be seen around here more now that life has calmed down a bit!

Family

These last couple weeks my brother, his wife and their dogs were here visiting from Virginia. I had such a good time! I hope I don't ever go long without seeing them again... Sadly they left this morning :( But we had tons of fun! Here's a few pics from their visit...

Update

As you've probably noticed, I've been a little scarce around here lately... Chase's computer broke and until it gets fixed we are sharing mine so it's very rare that I get to use it. But it's ok because that's how he makes his money and where he works on his music. My old boss was kind enough to give me my old job back! But unfortunately I got the flu the second day of work... So I'm down the rest of the week. My sister, nephew, sister-in-law and dad have all been sickey's too. We're just hoping we all get better before my brother and sister-in-law come to visit! (and crossing our fingers that nobody else will get sick) But I have to tell you even with all this gunk going around, I sure am glad it's been warming up!
I don't know when the next time will be when I feel well enough (or have the chance) to post anything. Hopefully it won't be too long! But either way, if your sick or not, try to have an amazing, unforgettable weekend!
