Trash Goes In A Can, Not In Your Mouth

I've been so out of the loop with everything these past few weeks. I went up to the mountains for a week (and I'm really wishing it was longer), went back to work, hurt my back again, got another kidney infection, and a bit of the flu that my family's been sharing with each other. Also these past few months I've been getting really sick from random foods that never would have bothered me before.

It's really made me start thinking about the food habits I've taken up. Turns out they're pretty horrible... I decided to do a detox this month so I can get out any kind of infection or any other thing that's not supposed to be living in my body. This way I can start from scratch and get better eating habits then I've had the past 4 or 5 years.

I've pretty much just been eating veggies (fresh and cultured), coconut kiefer, and occasional fruits or quinoa. It's actually been pretty fun coming up with meals. There are tons of possibilities!

The first week I was actually pretty sick because of me detoxing so fast, but now that the worst part (hopefully) is over I've been feeling great!

I hope you find something that inspires you to work towards a healthier you!

If you want some references there's a book called Body Ecology and I know almost everyone's seen these, but if you haven't you can watch Food Inc. or Forks Over Knives. They only touch the basics, but have some great information in them. (And they're also on Netflix instant play! Can't get easier then that.)
