Swimming and Bicycle Rides

Today I did baking at my work so after I got off at 9 I took a nap until 1:00! I couldn't believe I had slept so long. I felt like I had wasted my entire day, but fortunately it ended up being a pretty dang good day :)
It was such a nice warm Tuesday so we tried to take advantage of it. We filled up the kiddie pool for Ev and Shy, I started sewing some more yoga bags, and this evening I went on a bike ride with my brothers family. My sister-in-law wanted to show my nephew the new water fountain they put downtown. I think I enjoyed watching it just as much as he did though :)
Off to bed. Have a fantastic week!

Yoga Bag

Finally made myself a yoga bag! I have a bunch of material left so I will probably have some of these in my etsy shop sooner or later :)

Urban Alteration

I saw A shirt on UO that I really really liked but it was $49! I found a big lace shirt at a yard sale for 25 cents so I altered and made it look somewhat the same. It isn't exactly the same and I think I'm going to put a bigger ribbon on it, but I can't really complain for 25 cents! Except dang models make things look so much better... haha

Horchata

Yesterday, on me and my sisters shopping trip I saw this bottle of horchata so I had to try it. ...Yes I wanted to try it because of the Vampire Weekend song. It tastes just like chai and has a ton of corn syrup in it so I think I'd rather just have some real chai. But I'm glad I tried it. I didn't even know it was a real drink.

Oh and look at our poor bedroom!
So embarrassing... This was AFTER I cleaned it. It's practically turned in to a studio. The mister has been working almost all day every day programing lights, recording back tracks, and whatever else those musicians do (it's like another language to me). I think we've decided wherever we live next we're for sure going to need a 2 bedroom!

What to do, what to do...

It feels weird to have days off now... I don't know what to do with myself. I don't know if I like it. It was not a very productive day and I always feel bad when I do that. I guess lazy days are ok every once in a while, right? But it was nice today because I got to hang out with Chase and he'll be leaving in a little over a week so it's extra nice to hang out with him right now.

I was finally able to finish transferring all my recipes to cards for my recipe box that my sister and brother-in-law made for me.
Monday night my lovely friend Kasandra got home for the summer.
It's really good to have her back.

Yesterday I got a haircut. It turned out shorter then I hoped for, but now that all those dry ends are off hopefully it will actually start growing now!
Have a lovely weekend <3

Handmade Diaper Bag

My beautiful aunt Kristin is having a baby next week. We are excited to welcome little Graham Austin Pingleton in to the world! She needed a diaper bag and asked me to make her one. She drew some pictures and gave me a bag of scraps and I had at it. It was fun. It turned out a little bigger then I was planning, but I think it will do. And I really like all the pockets inside that she designed!

Mothers Day Weekend

Me and my mama :)
This weekend was really good! I got to see a lot of my friends and we had an really good Mothers Day! I went hiking with a bunch of family for lunch. We were going to have lunch on the hike, but it started getting extremely windy so we went back to the cars and had a picnic in the back of our cars.
It was a lot of fun! Then I dropped by my in-laws for a few minutes and then to my grandmas for dinner. Oh and I made Chocolate dipped Strawberry's for my mom and mother-in-law (and I ended up eating quite a few..shhh...).
Hope all of you mothers had a great mothers day!
